Built around 1725, this hut stands at an altitude of 1960m.
The Bruschgaläschger Hütta consists of 3 other small huts & 3 cow sheds. The other huts only being used occasionally over summer. None have winter occupation.
The hut has it’s own cow shed behind it.
Water is available from a spring about 30m away.There is no electricity other than solar for the laptop.
Ceiling height is a low 175cm with the small 20x20cm windows 1m above the floor. Heating is with wood.
In the past this hut was used as accomodation for the shephards.
In summer the hut is accessible after a 15 minute walk.
In winter the car is left lower down in Bruschgaläschg & the walk up the mountain on snowshoes can take up to 1.5 - 3 hours for the nearly 400m altitude difference.
